Rob，你今天下班急着回家吗？

Rob
Err, no, Feifei. Why, do you want to go for a drink?

Feifei
Well, sort of. 我有个朋友来伦敦了，准备一起去喝几杯，你要不要晚点和我们一起啊？

Rob
Oh, I see! I’ve got your number!

Feifei
Err, yes – you have – so you can call me and meet us later. OK?

Rob
No – I mean I know what you’re trying to do. You want to go to the pub now and leave me to present the rest of this programme?

Feifei
Well… 

Rob       
I know what you’re up to!

Feifei
Rob 说 he’s got my number，这里他要表达的意思不是“他有我的手机号码”，而是“他知道我正在做什么”。

Rob
Well, you can’t go until we’ve heard some more examples.

Examples
So I’ll cook and you wash up? Hmm, I’ve got your number; you’re just going to watch TV all evening.

You can’t fool me, I’ve got your number – you’re never going to pay me back.

Watch out, he’s got your number – he knows what you’re up to.

我们可以用  I’ve got your number 来表示“我们知道他人心里打的什么算盘”。

Exactly – it’s not about having your telephone number. I knew when you asked me if I was rushing home you were after something.

Feifei
Rob，你觉得我真的会为了喝杯酒提前溜走吗？Honestly, who do you think I am?!

Rob
