Well, I need to get to the shops to buy something in the sales.

Feifei
So, you want to snap up a bargain?

Rob
Err, well, I don’t want to snap anything, just grab a bargain.

Feifei
That’s what I mean! 表达 “snap up” 的意思是 “抢购”，用来描述 “某人快速并充满热情地抢购某物”。比如：你可以 “抢购便宜货 snap up a bargain”；“抢购音乐会的门票 snap up tickets for a concert”；甚至可以 “迅速抢到手一个心仪的工作机会 snap up the offer of an amazing job”。

Rob
Oh, well, the phone wasn’t that good anyway – and now I’ve saved my money, I can go and snap up something else in the sales.

Feifei
