So, we have three words, all related to tailoring. Let’s look to see how they are used and how they are different.

It’s probably easiest if we start by looking at what the nouns mean, because the verbs are closely related to the nouns. The first one is ‘stitch’. As a noun, a stitch can be the action where you push a needle and thread into a piece of fabric and then back out. It also refers to the bit of thread that you can see on the fabric once you’ve done this.
