The story

Gen Zs, those are people born between the late 90s and early 2010s, are protesting about different issues, such as the quality of their education, job opportunities and voter rights.

Many of these movements led by young people are being organised online, often with no clear leader. Some are openly copying each other too.

Dr Naya Prakash, a researcher at the University of Cambridge, says what most of the protests have in common is a feeling that the government isn’t investing enough in services and policies that impact young people’s lives.
